Loaned to Nice
Nkounkou will spend the 2026/27 season on loan at Nice from Frankfurt, his parent club announced Tuesday.
Analysis: Nkounkou will spend a second consecutive season on loan after he was at Torino in the 2025/26 campaign. The left-back will add another weapon on the left side of the defense for the Eagles, and Nice have the option to sign Nkounkou permanently at any point during the current loan.
Sent back to Eintracht Frankfurt
Nkounkou wasn't signed by Torino permanently following a loan spell.
Analysis: Nkounkou saw some action early in the season but quickly fell out of favor, featuring just 11 times (three starts), assisting once and notching 20 crosses (six accurate), 16 tackles and 15 clearances, with no clean sheets. It's uncertain whether he'll be given another shot at Eintracht Frankfurt.
