Set to return after international break
Boudaoui (fitness) has failed to leave the club this summer and will be back available after the international break once fit, according to coach Olivier Pantaloni, per Arthur Fradin of Radio France. "We will count on him from the moment he is ready, we can have him back after the break."
Analysis: Boudaoui closed out his World Cup with Algeria coming off the bench in the loss to Switzerland, picking up a yellow card within a minute of entering and contributing one interception before the team's elimination. His future at Nice now looks set to continue for the time being, with manager Pantaloni planning to work him back into the fold once his fitness allows.
Returned as a sub in loss
Boudaoui recorded one tackle (zero won) and one interception in Thursday's 2-0 defeat to Switzerland. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 72nd minute.
Analysis: Boudaoui returned to the Algeria team after starting the first two matches. He came on as a sub with 19 minutes to go and managed to get booked within a minute. He made an interception, but was unable to win his only tackle. Algeria were unable to break down the opposition and were knocked out 2-0 by Switzerland.
