Starting regularly for Celta
Alonso was an unused sub in the 5-0 win over Racing Santander on Sept. 19 but has started five of Celta's seven LaLiga matches this season.
Analysis: Alonso missed the match against Athletic Club on Aug. 30 due to a suspension and was an unused sub against Racing, but that was because he went the full 90 against Omonia in the UEFA Europa League on Sept. 16. He might be rotated at the domestic level from time to time, but don't be surpised if he's a regular starter at center-back for Celta most of the time.

Alonso registered two tackles (two won), nine clearances and two interceptions in Thursday's 0-0 draw versus Real Sociedad. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 57th minute.
Analysis: Alonso was all over in the defense as he earned his team a clean sheet, recording two tackles won, two interceptions and nine clearances. This would go along with a second straight match completing 75 passes, proving to see decent work on the ball. With two clean sheets already this season, the defender could be a decent center-back pickup.
