Piotr Zielinski
INT
Assist in high-scoring win
Zielinski assisted once to go with three shots (zero on goal), one cross (zero accurate) and one chance created in Monday's 5-3 victory over Udinese.
Analysis: Zielinski came back into the Inter side to face Udinese after Curtis Jones had taken his place for the Real Madrid game, and he answered with an assist in a high scoring win. His pass teed up Francesco Pio Esposito following an exchange with Jones, and he added three shots, a chance created and 72 accurate passes to a productive night in the middle of the park.
Scores in win
Zielinski scored one goal to go with one shot (one on goal) in Saturday's 4-1 victory over Monza.
Analysis: Zielinski capitalized on a mistake by the opposition goalkeeper, pouncing after a punched clearance fell straight to him and finishing to score. It proved to be his only major contribution of the game, as he otherwise finished with just one clearance and 56 accurate passes across 83 minutes played.
Saddled with own goal versus Bologna
Zielinski had an own goal, logged one shot (zero on goal) and one tackle (one won) and drew one foul in Saturday's 3-3 draw against Bologna.
Analysis: Zielinski had a silent outing overall and put it in his own net with an ill-advised slide on a cross in the box. His role was steadier this year compared to last season, as he often teamed up with and replaced Hakan Calhanoglu, and finished up with seven goals, three assists, 36 key passes and 34 crosses (12 accurate) in 44 appearances (29 starts).
Sets up opener
Zielinski assisted once to go with one cross (zero accurate) and two chances created in Sunday's 2-0 victory over Parma. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 64th minute.
Analysis: Zielinski set up the opener scored by Marcus Thuram to mark his third consecutive home game with a goal contribution, having registered one goal and two assists across those appearances. The midfielder has started four of his last five games, taking five shots and creating four chances during that stretch.
