Bryan Cristante
Suffers new injury
Cristante might miss time after the break due to knee soreness, Sky Italy reported.
Analysis: Cristante didn't answer Italy's call-up because of a minor back problem, but he hasn't been spotted in training lately because of a different issue, and he might need more than a week to recover fully. Niccolo Pisilli and Marten De Roon would pick up the slack if necessary.
Withdraws from Italy call-up
Cristante won't take part in the upcoming Nations League games with Italy due to back spasms, Tuttomercatoweb reported.
Analysis: Cristante has played almost full minutes so far, subbing off a little early only once, but he's been deemed unfit to play with the national team during the break. He's highly likely to be good to go for October 10's fixture versus Como.
Scores in Thursday's draw
Cristante scored one goal to go with one shot (one on goal), one cross (zero accurate) and one chance created in Thursday's 1-1 draw against Fenerbahce. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 86th minute.
Analysis: Cristante opened up the scoring Thursday with an outside-the-box strike in the 39th minute off a Donyell Malen assist. It was the only shot he took in the match and he also created one chance. Cristante will need to be at his best next time in the Champions League when he and Roma take on Real Madrid.
Works hard in Fiorentina bout
Cristante registered four tackles (two won), four clearances and two interceptions and created one scoring chance in Monday's 4-0 victory against Fiorentina.
Analysis: Cristante was significantly more noticeable in the back than in the final third and was instrumental in stifling the opponents. His tasks vary depending on who his midfield partner is. He scored and assisted twice last season, logging 54 shots (nine on target), 30 chances created and 86 tackles.
