Analysis: Aguirre had a rough start, being held in check for most of the first half and even committing a penalty that could've doubled the opposition's lead midway through the frame if it wasn't for Nahuel Guzman saving it. But the striker redeemed himself in the 40th minute, when he headed home a corner kick from the right to draw things level at 1-1. That's now three goals and an assist over the last five starts for Aguirre, who's definitely back of his best after disappointing for most of last season.

Analysis: Aguirre missed a chance in the first half and then redeemed himself with a left-footed shot that beat the goalkeeper in the 79th minute against Potros. It was the striker's second goal in the Apertura 2026 tournament, ranking him second on the team in that aspect behind Juan Francisco Brunetta. Until the UANL side signs another center-forward, the Uruguayan will likely continue to record all or most minutes on the field while the team looks to start a productive streak.

Analysis: Aguirre served a ball that led to Juan Francisco Brunetta's goal as the visitors caught the opposing defense off guard in the 21st minute of this game, although it was not enough for them to avoid defeat. It has been far from a convincing start to the campaign for Tigres, but Aguirre has managed to achieve two goals and two assists across six matches played counting both league and Leagues Cup action. With the club taking its time to sign a new center-forward, the Uruguayan international remains the only nominal option in that position, so he's likely to retain high playing time in the short term.

Analysis: Aguirre produced through a header from inside the six-yard box in the 41st minute of his second Apertura start after serving a one-game suspension. The goal was his first direct contribution since April 18, coming in his sixth shot over that period. The recent departures of Andre-Pierre Gignac and Angel Correa have left the Uruguayan international as Tigres' only nominal striker, so he'll likely get more opportunities to impress in upcoming Leagues Cup and Liga MX tests while the team looks for another alternative in the No. 9 role.

Analysis: Aguirre's return gives a welcome boost to a Tigres squad that no longer has Andre-Pierre Gignac and Angel Correa for the Apertura tournament and deployed Ozziel Herrera as a striker in the last game. Aguirre was sent off with a straight red card in the 46th minute of Thursday's 3-1 defeat against Club Tijuana. He recorded no stats before his removal.
Analysis: Aguirre became the first Liga MX player to be sent off under the new rule prohibiting covering your mouth while talking, just as it happened to Miguel Almiron in Paraguay during the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Aguirre will miss the match against San Luis on Saturday, July 25, but he should be available for selection to face Queretaro on Saturday, Aug. 1.

Analysis: Aguirre wasn't having his best performance, but a clever touch inside the box allowed him to assist Angel Correa's equalizer in stoppage time. The striker might return to the XI when Tigres take on Atlas on Wednesday.
