Helps defensively against Juventus

Kessie recorded one tackle (zero won), one block and six clearances in Sunday's 2-0 defeat against Juventus.

Analysis: Kessies only picked up stats on one end after a more well-rounded debut. He got the call over Gianluca Gaetano, who was available after a suspension, partnering with Ederson and Lazar Samardzic in the midfield. He has registered three shots (one on target), two key passes and six tackles (one won) through two appearances since joining late.

Decent in first start versus Cagliari

Kessie had three shots (one on goal), one cross (zero accurate) and two chances created and won one of five tackles in Saturday's 2-1 loss against Cagliari.

Analysis: Kessie got the call a couple of weeks after signing with Atalanta, replacing Gianluca Gaetano (suspension) and looked okay but not in peak shape. He'll split time also with Lazar Samardzic and Mario Pasalic in a couple of spots in the midfield. He hadn't logged any stats in his brief debut last week.
