Set for knee surgery
Buongiorno will go under the knife to repair a partially torn meniscus in his right knee, Napoli announced.
Analysis: Buongiorno tried to push through the injury during the pre-season retreat, but the discomfort wasn't subsiding. He could be sidelined for up to three months after the operation, La Gazzetta dello Sport relayed.
