Returns to Gladbach from loan

Cvancara will return to Borussia Monchengladbach after Celtic declined to exercise their purchase option.

Analysis: Cvancara struggled to establish himself at Celtic, managing just 13 appearances with two goals and two assists during his time in Glasgow. That followed an earlier loan to Turkish side Antalyaspor that was terminated prematurely back in the winter, meaning both loan spells this season failed to work out as hoped. Despite his contract at Gladbach running through 2028, he still has no clear sporting future with the club, and Gladbach are now expected to look for a new buyer for the striker rather than integrate him back into the squad.
