Shines with brace

Haaland scored two goals to go with six shots (four on goal) and one chance created in Tuesday's 2-0 victory against FC Porto. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 93rd minute.

Analysis: The forward did his damage as usual, adding two more goals to what is sure to be a historic tally whenever he decides to stop playing soccer. Haaland is already the Premier League's most efficient goalscorer when accounting for volume, and he's got a good chance to add to that tally against Manchester United. The club allowed 50 goals in EPL play a year ago and has given up six already in three games this season.

Scores twice in UCL win

Haaland scored twice on six shots (four on goal) in Tuesday's 2-0 UCL win over Porto.

Analysis: Haaland could've scored at least another goal hadn't it been for an impressive performance from Diogo Costa, but the star striker still found a way to score twice while leading Manchester City to their first three points in the UCL league phase. Haaland has been on a tear of late and has scored five goals in his last three matches in all competitions with the Citizens.

Nets again

Haaland scored one goal to go with four shots (three on goal) and one chance created in Saturday's 1-0 victory against Coventry City.

Analysis: Haaland was the difference-maker during Saturday's win, as he so often is. The forward made the most of a great chance and finished well, a great sign for City that Haaland is still so lethal. When he's in this sort of form there's very few things that can slow down City's brilliant attack even against the top teams in the world.

Nets brace

Haaland scored two goals to go with five shots (three on goal) in Friday's 4-1 win versus Crystal Palace.

Analysis: Haaland would open the scoring for City as they took an early lead, finding the back of the net via a header in the 17th minute. However, he would not be done there, as he added a second in the 84th minute to put the game to bed. These are the Norwegian's first goal of the season, catching up with a brace after not scoring in their opener. He will now chase down his 27 goals from last season, likely to win the Golden Boot once again.

Five shots, no goal

Haaland registered five shots (two on goal) in Sunday's 2-1 victory versus AFC Bournemouth.

Analysis: Haaland would earn a solid five shots in Sunday's win but still walked away without a goal, nearly scoring in the first half but whiffing on the ball completely. This means it is the Norwegian's first season opener without a goal for City, although he will likely find his first soon. With 25+ goals in each of his first four seasons with the club, he remains one of the top strikers in the world, more than capable of topping that amount again.

Fit to play in Community Shield

Haaland (heel) is fit to play in Sunday's Community Shield against Arsenal, according to coach Enzo Maresca, per City Xtra. "He was okay [after training on Thursday]! He had just a small thing behind the heels, but he was okay."

Analysis: Haaland finished last season as the Premier League's top scorer with 27 goals and eight assists across 35 appearances, part of a 38 goal campaign in all competitions as City won the FA Cup and EFL Cup. He capped that with an extraordinary World Cup, scoring seven goals across his first four appearances before going scoreless against England, and this minor scare now cleared, he looks set to lead Man City's attack into the Community Shield as he builds toward the new 2026/27 Premier League season.

Back in Manchester

Haaland is back in Manchester to prepare for the new 2026/27 Premier League season, according to the club.

Analysis: Haaland finished last season as the Premier League's top scorer with 27 goals and eight assists across 35 appearances, part of a 38 goal campaign in all competitions as City won the FA Cup and EFL Cup. He capped that with an extraordinary World Cup, scoring seven goals across his first four appearances before going scoreless against England, and his return to club training now shifts focus to preseason preparations as he looks to build on one of the most prolific individual seasons of his career.

Difficult outing in quarterfinals

Haaland recorded two shots (one on goal) and one cross (zero accurate) in Saturday's 2-1 defeat to England.

Analysis: Haaland didn't see his effort rewarded this time, as his two headers were not enough to beat Jordan Pickford during the defeat. After an extraordinary debut World Cup, the Manchester City striker went scoreless only in the final game, notching seven goals across his previous four appearances. He also led his side with an average of 4.0 shots (2.6 on target) per game, numbers that strengthened his status as one of the world's most effective finishers.

Scores brace in round of 16 win

Haaland scored two goals to go with four shots (three on goal) and two chances created in Sunday's 2-1 win against Brazil.

Analysis: Haaland led his team to a historic victory over Brazil with a solid header and a low left-footed shot in the 79th and 90th minutes, respectively. The striker has now achieved a brace in three of his four World Cup appearances, tying Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi with seven goals in the race for the Golden Boot award. Additionally, Haaland has taken at least four shots in every game so far, standing out as Norway's primary finisher. Up next is a potentially tougher test in the quarter-finals stage.

Nets in win

Haaland scored one goal to go with four shots (two on goal) and one chance created in Tuesday's 2-1 victory versus Cote D'ivoire.

Analysis: Haaland didn't have his best performance Tuesday, but he didn't need to. His movement and eye for goal came up trumps in the second half as he got to a loose ball in the box and finished into an open net. Haaland is now just one off the Golden Boot as Norway advance to the final 16. He will need to be Norway's talisman if they want to shock Brazil in the next round.

Jun 22, 2026

Scores twice against Senegal

Haaland scored two goals to go with five shots (three on goal) and two chances created in Monday's 3-2 victory against Senegal.

Analysis: Haaland made the score sheet from close-range attempts in the 48th and 58th minutes, respectively, leading his side to its second victory of the 2026 World Cup. The striker had a few more chances up front, including one that was denied by the post, but the two goals were enough for him to complete another superb performance, tying Kylian Mbappe as the second-best scorer in the tournament behind Lionel Messi. Up next is a more challenging fixture for Haaland as he'll face France in the final group match, although there could be some playing time management given that both teams have already secured a place in the knockout stage.

Jun 17, 2026

Brace in World Cup debut

Haaland scored two goals to go with five shots (four on goal) and one chance created in Tuesday's 4-1 win versus Iraq.

Analysis: Haaland was at his dominant best on his World Cup debut, opening the scoring for Norway after a subdued first half in which they struggled to fashion any clear openings. He was a constant menace through his pressing, winning seven of nine duels and causing havoc for Iraq's center backs and goalkeeper, ultimately forcing the mistake between them that gifted him his second goal. Two missed big chances meant his tally could have been even higher, and he was also behind the fourth goal late on, winning the header that forced an error from the Iraqi defense and ended up in their own net.

Lead forward for Vikings

Haaland is set to be the key piece and leading goal scorer for Norway at the 2026 World Cup.

Analysis: Haaland carried Norway to the World Cup and will now have the weight of a nation on his back as he tries to lead them through the group stage. The striker will be used as the main piece in the attack for the club and will be the focal point for numerous opposing defences, bringing a little concern to his chances at scoring. However, with a few other top attackers around him, along with a world-class playmaker in Martin Odegaard in the midfield, his chances of finding good opportunities remain high. After 35 goals between UCL and league play with Manchester City, he seems bound to at least score a couple for Norway in the group stage, a likely need if they want to advance in the tournament.

May 20, 2026

Scores late goal

Haaland scored one goal to go with two shots (one on goal) and one chance created in Tuesday's 1-1 draw against AFC Bournemouth.

Analysis: Haaland tried to drag City back into the game with a late stoppage-time goal, although it was too little too late. This is his fourth straight game with a goal contribution, earning one goal in FA Cup play while scoring three goals and one league assist during that span. He is now up to 27 goals this season, set to win yet another Premier League Golden Boot.

May 18, 2026

Assist Saturday

Haaland recorded one assist on one chance created to go along with one shot in Saturday's 1-0 FA Cup win over Chelsea.

Analysis: Haaland came up with a great play late into Saturday's match that would lead to a City goal, putting a ball across the middle that would be scored by Antoine Semenyo in the 72nd minute. This is his second straight appearance with an assist, as Haaland also earned an assist in their 3-0 win over Brentford on May 9. This is his first assist in FA Cup play this season, although the prolific goal scorer does have eight in league play.

May 10, 2026

Nets yet another goal

Haaland scored one goal and assisted once from five shots and two chances created in Saturday's 3-0 win against Brentford.

Analysis: Haaland was on the scoresheet for a second match in a row Saturday, a familiar trend for the Norwegian, scoring in the 75th minute. However, he would also add an assist, setting up Omar Marmoush in the closing stages of the contest. The forward now sits at 26 goals this season, better than last season and only one off of his 2023/24 total. Even more impressive, he has earned eight assists, a number he hasn't come close to touching since his debut season with City.

May 5, 2026

Bags goal

Haaland scored one goal to go with three shots (one on goal) in Monday's 3-3 draw versus Everton.

Analysis: Haaland earned his goal on alate breakaway off the restart Monday, showing his clinical pace as he beat the defense for an easy one-on-one with the keeper. This comes as a third straight outing in league play with a goal for the Norwegian, recording 13 shots during that span. He is up to 25 goals and seven assists in 33 appearances this season.

Apr 23, 2026

Scores early winner

Haaland scored one goal to go with five shots (two on goal) in Wednesday's 1-0 victory versus Burnley.

Analysis: Haaland would earn his goal early in Wednesday's outing, as the forward scored in the fifth minute for the game winner and the lone goal of the contest. This is a second straight league match with a goal, as he scored against Arsenal last time out as well, taking 10 shots between the two games. He continues to lead the Golden Boot race with his 24 goals this season, two better than last campaign.

Apr 20, 2026

Nets game winner

Haaland scored one goal to go with five shots (one on goal) and one chance created in Sunday's 2-1 victory versus Arsenal. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 83rd minute.

Analysis: Haaland would come up clutch and finally get back at his rival, Gabriel, as the Norwegian scored in the 65th minute to win the match. This gets him back on the scoresheet after four straight league games without one, now at 23 in 31 games this season. This brings the forward to 30 goal contributions on the season, as he has also added seven assists.

Apr 13, 2026

Fails to score

Haaland recorded four shots (one on goal) in Sunday's 3-0 victory versus Chelsea.

Analysis: Haaland was coming off a hat trick in their last match and couldn't repeat Sunday, as the forward would record four shots but no goals. He still sits at 22 goals this season as he leads the Golden Boot race, recording 106 shots in 30 appearances this season.
