Analysis: The forward did his damage as usual, adding two more goals to what is sure to be a historic tally whenever he decides to stop playing soccer. Haaland is already the Premier League's most efficient goalscorer when accounting for volume, and he's got a good chance to add to that tally against Manchester United. The club allowed 50 goals in EPL play a year ago and has given up six already in three games this season.
Scores twice in UCL win

Analysis: Haaland could've scored at least another goal hadn't it been for an impressive performance from Diogo Costa, but the star striker still found a way to score twice while leading Manchester City to their first three points in the UCL league phase. Haaland has been on a tear of late and has scored five goals in his last three matches in all competitions with the Citizens.

Analysis: Haaland was the difference-maker during Saturday's win, as he so often is. The forward made the most of a great chance and finished well, a great sign for City that Haaland is still so lethal. When he's in this sort of form there's very few things that can slow down City's brilliant attack even against the top teams in the world.

Analysis: Haaland would open the scoring for City as they took an early lead, finding the back of the net via a header in the 17th minute. However, he would not be done there, as he added a second in the 84th minute to put the game to bed. These are the Norwegian's first goal of the season, catching up with a brace after not scoring in their opener. He will now chase down his 27 goals from last season, likely to win the Golden Boot once again.

Haaland registered five shots (two on goal) in Sunday's 2-1 victory versus AFC Bournemouth.
Analysis: Haaland would earn a solid five shots in Sunday's win but still walked away without a goal, nearly scoring in the first half but whiffing on the ball completely. This means it is the Norwegian's first season opener without a goal for City, although he will likely find his first soon. With 25+ goals in each of his first four seasons with the club, he remains one of the top strikers in the world, more than capable of topping that amount again.
Fit to play in Community Shield

However, with a few other top attackers around him, along with a world-class playmaker in Martin Odegaard in the midfield, his chances of finding good opportunities remain high. After 35 goals between UCL and league play with Manchester City, he seems bound to at least score a couple for Norway in the group stage, a likely need if they want to advance in the tournament.
