Scores goal in draw
Vinas scored one goal to go with three shots (one on goal) in Saturday's 1-1 draw against Leon.
Analysis: Vinas made the score sheet via right-footed finish in the 44th minute, though he did little else and lost most of his individual duels during this contest. His scoring value is hard to dispute, with seven goals across his last 12 club appearances (six starts), and that production has held up through all the rotation. Still, his role could hinge on the formation once a rested Paulinho returns to the lineup, as the two could pair up in a two-man front line or split the minutes.
Scores off bench in draw
Vinas scored one goal to go with five shots (three on goal) in Wednesday's 2-2 draw versus Club Tijuana.
Analysis: Vinas played next to Paulinho in the second half and was busy, taking five shots and scoring with one of the few clear-cut chances he had following a great pass from Helinho. Even though Paulinho is the undisputed starter upfront for Toluca, Vinas has made the most of his minutes -- he has six goals in just 579 minutes so far in the Apertura.
