Fit to play Saturday

Koski (quadriceps) has been included in Alaves' squad and is available for Saturday's La Liga clash against Atletico Madrid after recovering quicker than initially expected from a right quadriceps injury, the club posted.

Analysis: Koski was initially expected to miss several weeks due to the injury, but subsequent tests revealed a less serious issue, allowing him to resume training ahead of Saturday's matchup. The defender completed the final training session and has now been cleared for selection, providing a boost to coach Quique Sanchez Flores' defensive options. However, the manager previously emphasized that he would avoid taking unnecessary risks with Koski's fitness, making a role off the bench more likely than an immediate return to the starting XI. Nicolas Valentini remains an alternative in central defense if Alaves deploy a three-man back line.

Could make squad for Atletico clash

Koski (quadriceps) completed the last training session and could be included in Alaves' squad for Saturday's match against Atletico Madrid after his injury proved less serious than first feared, according to Marca. Coach Quique Sanchez Flores said Thursday. "Well, let's wait until tomorrow first. Because the lad is making progress in his own way; he's doing well. We're getting good news,"

Analysis: Koski was initially expected to spend several weeks on the sidelines, but tests on his right quadriceps issue have provided a more optimistic prognosis ahead of the clash against Atletico Madrid. The defender remains an unconfirmed inclusion for Alaves, as the club plans to announce their final roster only hours before kick-off. Coach Quique Sanchez Flores intends to exercise caution, emphasizing that he will avoid unnecessary risks. If he makes the matchday list, he could begin the game among the substitutes, and Nicolas Valentini could step into the defence if they stick with a three-man back line.
