Makes club debut
Winks took two shots (one on goal) and made two interceptions during Saturday's 1-0 win over Parma.
Analysis: Winks had a well rounded effort in defensive midfield, finishing with the second most shots on the team and third most interceptions. The midfielder is expected to lock down a starting role in the heart of the pitch for Cagliari following his summer move from Leicester City.
Moves to Cagliari
Winks has joined Cagliari on a permanent deal from Leicester City and signed a two-year contract.
Analysis: Winks wrapped up a three-year run at Leicester City, spending two seasons in the Championship. He scored once, assisted twice and notched 35 shots (nine on target), 49 crosses (12 accurate) and 47 tackles in 34 tilts in the most recent one. He had a mixed fortune in his previous short-lived Serie A stay at Sampdoria, featuring just 20 times, mostly due to injury, without impressing. He'll be one of the top options to replace Gianluca Gaetano and Ibrahim Sulemana in the midfield.
