Pulled at half time Wednesday
Cunha only went 45 minutes in Wednesday's 4-1 loss against Como with reports surfacing after the match of a dust up in the locker room.
Analysis: Since going 89 minutes against Tottenham on Oct. 10, Cunha has suddenly fallen to a bench role and that doesn't seem to be a changing. A regular starter since joining United, he came off the bench in back-to-back matches before starting and only going 45 minutes against Como. With a healthy Amad Diallo, Michael Carrick has moved Cunha to the bench, something that will have to work itself out over the next few days and weeks. Prior to the benching, Cunha had produced two goals and two assists across league and UCL.
Makes brief cameo against Leeds
Cunha registered one shot (zero on goal) in Sunday's 1-1 draw against Leeds United.
Analysis: Cunha entered in an advanced attacking role as Manchester United searched for a late winner but had limited opportunities to influence the match, finishing without a goal contribution. The Brazilian forward has recorded one goal and two assists across seven Premier League appearances this season, including six starts, with Sunday's brief outing marking his first league appearance off the bench. Despite his recent shift to a substitute role, his versatility across central and wide attacking positions could help him regain a place in the starting lineup.
