Llorente assisted once to go with zero corners and one chance created in Saturday's 3-1 win over Sevilla. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 49th minute.
Analysis: Llorente set up Alex Baena's goal in the 33rd minute. Llorente put up a complete display as a right back, completing 48 passes and also making three interceptions, two blocks, two tackles and a clearance. This was notably his first start of the campaign.
Ready for new season
Llorente is back in Madrid at the Vithas Madrid Arturo Soria hospital for the usual tests ahead of resuming training with Atletico Madrid, according to Carlos Fernandez of Marca.
Analysis: Llorente helped Spain win the World Cup, recording an assist in the group stage win over Uruguay after starting two matches at right back, part of a title winning run in which he provided valuable depth in defense. He is expected to hold a decent role for Atletico this season, and his completion of preseason medical testing marks the next step before he formally rejoins full training.
