Carlos Soler
RSO
Two goal contributions
Soler scored one goal and assisted once from three shots and two chances created in Sunday's 3-2 win against Valencia.
Analysis: Soler was back in the lineup for Sociedad after sitting out a midweek UEL match, as the midfielder played the full 90 Sunday. This would lead the midfielder to two goal contributions, bagging a goal from the penalty spot in the 75th minute before an assist in the 91st minute. This is a good sign to see as the club heads into the international break, with Soler seemingly having found his legs a few matches into the season after earning his first goal.
Struggles in service
Soler recorded one shot (one on goal), five crosses (zero accurate) and four corners in Sunday's 3-0 loss versus Atletico Madrid.
Analysis: Soler wasn't quite as cross-heavy as his teammate Sergio Gomez, but he didn't log a single accurate service in his five attempts. If he can be more clinical, he should be able to get an assist against a Valencia team with a minus-9 goal differential so far in LaLiga.
Records first league assist
Soler assisted once to go with three crosses (one accurate) and three corners in Monday's 3-2 victory against Elche.
Analysis: Soler was a fundamental part of the Sociedad midfield last season with 26 starts, but the minutes have been harder to come by this time around. This was only his third start of the campaign and his previous outing lasted just two minutes, though he has gone the full 90 every time he has been named in the side. The midfielder created two chances here along with three corners and crosses and picked up his first assist of the season.
