Martin has signed with Racing Santander from Genoa through June 2027, with an option to extend, according to the club.
Analysis: Martin made 91 Serie A appearances for Genoa since joining in 2023, adding to a career that includes 116 Bundesliga appearances with Mainz and 81 in LaLiga with Espanyol and Celta Vigo. The 29 year old left back came through Espanyol's academy, and has represented Spain from U15 through U21 level, winning back to back European Championships at U19 and U21 under Luis de la Fuente, and now begins the next chapter of his career in Spain's second division.

Martin generated four crosses (one accurate) and one corner in Sunday's 0-0 draw against Fiorentina.
Analysis: Martin sent in four crosses and took a single corner during Sunday's draw. Only one of his crosses was accurate, so despite the passable volume the overall performance was quite droll. Martin will need to be better going forward with only two more matches left in the Serie A campaign.
