Extends contract through 2030
Sivera has agreed to extend his contract with Deportivo Alaves through June 2030, the club announced.
Analysis: Sivera is entering his tenth season with the club after joining in the summer of 2017, having made 179 appearances for Alaves and established himself as the team's first captain. His consistency, shot-stopping and knack for stepping up in decisive moments have made him one of the club's most trusted figures both on and off the pitch. Sivera is expected to continue serving as Alaves's primary goalkeeper and a central leadership figure within the squad as he begins his second decade at the club.

It was a shock performances all around, both for the win and the clean sheet. It's a great boon for Sivera, who would have expected to struggle against the best team in the league.

Analysis: Sivera couldn't keep the clean sheet, but at least posted a better outing than in his previous game, where he allowed four goals and didn't make a single save against Athletic Club on May 2. Sivera won't have a lot of upside in his next outing since he'll have the daunting task of facing Barcelona on Wednesday.
