Pepelu had one tackle (one won), 13 clearances and one interception in Sunday's 2-2 draw against Racing Santander.
Analysis: Pepelu had a solid performance in the draw, as he reached double-digit clearances for the second time in his last three games, a significant improvement after he initially struggled to adapt to a center-back position. He also completed 53 accurate passes, showing how ball distribution remains a key part of his output. Playing centrally in a back five, he has focused on protecting his own box and contributing defensively.
Makes 12 clearances at Alaves
Pepelu recorded one tackle (one won), 12 clearances and three interceptions in Tuesday's 1-0 victory against Deportivo Alaves. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 47th minute.
Analysis: Pepelu led Valencia with a season-high 12 clearances to help them keep the clean sheet and win on the road. The centerback also made the most interceptions for his side in another personal-best in the campaign. He also received his first yellow card in six starts, though.
Makes eight clearances in draw

Analysis: Pepelu was deployed as part of Valencia's three-man central defense rather than in his customary midfield role, and the experiment ultimately produced a clean sheet. Celta managed only three shots on target despite controlling portions of the contest, while Pepelu offered composure when Valencia attempted to build from the back. His positional versatility could prove useful while Carlos Corberan continues experimenting with a three-center-back system
