Out for UEL match
Tagliafico (muscular) is still not fit enough to play against Hoffenheim on Thursday despite taking part in individual training Wednesday, according to Gones Area.
Analysis: Tagliafico remains unavailable for Lyon's third Europa League match as he continues his recovery. His return to individual work is a positive step, but he has not yet progressed enough for match action and might sit out a few more games until he's fully integrated to regular work. The defender is usually a solid contributor on the left flank, but he hasn't been fit consistently since the World Cup. With Mohamed Ouedraogo (knee) also out, Abner Vinicius may continue to feature in the short term.
Resumes individual training
Tagliafico (muscle) resumed individual training Wednesday as he continues recovering from a muscular injury but remains unlikely to feature in Thursday's Europa League clash against Hoffenheim, according to Olympique et Lyonnais.
Analysis: Tagliafico is making progress in his recovery after suffering a muscular setback while representing Argentina during the international break, having previously been sidelined by another muscle issue. The Argentine left-back was spotted running alongside a fitness coach Wednesday but has yet to resume full team training, making Thursday's trip to Hoffenheim likely to come too soon. He has made just three appearances this season and currently sits behind Abner Vinicius in the pecking order at left-back. However, Mohamed Ouedraogo's long-term absence leaves Lyon short of defensive alternatives, meaning Tagliafico could regain a more prominent role once fully fit.
