Dropped for second straight game
Herrera was left on the bench for the second game in a row as Aitor Fernandez kept the gloves for Saturday's meeting with Rayo Vallecano.
Analysis: Herrera has been a fixture in the Osasuna goal for years and had rarely lost his place while fit, which makes this turn of events a notable one. The first call could be explained away as rotation in a midweek round at Atletico Madrid, but Aitor Fernandez did enough there to keep the shirt against Rayo. coach Luis Miguel Ramis has the international break to weigh up his options before the trip to Real Betis, and Herrera may need a change of mind to get back in.
Concedes two against Espanyol
Herrera had one save and allowed two goals in Saturday's 2-0 defeat versus Espanyol.
Analysis: Herrera was in for a rough match Sunday, as the goalie allowed two goals while making only a single save. This is the second straight match without a clean sheet, still with two this season. He will now face Atletico Madrid on Wednesday, likely to be a very tough match.
