Signs for Gladbach

Lidberg has joined Gladbach from Darmstadt on a contract until June 2030, the club announced.

Analysis: Lidberg scored 31 goals and contributed nine assists across 58 second division appearances for Darmstadt since joining in 2024, establishing himself as one of the most clinical strikers in the second tier of German football. Sporting director Rouven Schroder praised his goal threat, physical strength, dynamism and aggressive mentality in the center-forward position, expressing delight at filling an important squad position with high-quality and ahead of schedule. Lidberg himself described his excitement at joining a club he had followed since childhood, saying he needed little convincing once he learned of Gladbach's interest.
