Loftus-Cheek has been diagnosed with a left flexor strain, Ansa reported.
Analysis: Loftus-Cheek will be re-evaluated in two weeks and will try to return after the next break. He usually deputizes for Adrien Rabiot (calf), who's also on the mend. Ardon Jashari, Yunus Musah and Christian Comotto are the next men up.
Subs in and out against Udinese
Loftus-Cheek played limited minutes off the bench in Sunday's 2-0 victory over Udinese because of a potential thigh injury, Gianluca DI Marzio reported.
Analysis: Loftus-Cheek was deployed in the 73rd minute and exited in 91st, seemingly getting hurt during a long sprint and a slide to try to finish. He's set for tests. He didn't get the start even though Adrien Rabiot (calf) was missing. Ardon Jashari, Yunus Musah and Christain Comotto would eventually benefit if he were to miss time.
