Sets up teammate in Fiorentina tilt

Comert assisted once to go with one key pass, nine clearances and one tackle (one won) in Saturday's 2-1 win over Fiorentina.

Analysis: Comert was diligent in the back, putting up good numbers, even though his team allowed one goal, and collected a point for pushing the ball forward before a wonder goal by Rolando Mandragora. He has notched three or more clearances in the first two fixtures, amassing 12 and adding two tackles and one block, with no clean sheets.

Completes ban

Comert served a one-game suspension in Sunday's 2-1 loss to Milan.

Analysis: Comert will be available for the second round against Sassuolo and will try to unseat either Saul Coco or Ardian Ismajli. He contributed to six clean sheets in 17 matches with Valencia last year, tallying 26 tackles, 20 interceptions and 88 clearances.
