Analysis: Cakir recorded 36 passes and also made two saves and a clearance. He also started all Champions League games in last seasons campaign. Next, he takes on Barcelona in Matchday 2 in mid-October.

Analysis: Cakir had a much busier night than in his previous two games with Turkey no longer the side dominating possession and play, but he rose to the challenge and made some very good saves to keep his side in it. The two goals that did go in were beyond his control. It still ends as a frustrating tournament for the goalkeeper though, bowing out at the group stage without a clean sheet and finishing with five goals conceded and eight saves across his three games.
