Joins Bologna

Dovbyk is moving to Bologna on loan with an option to buy from Roma.

Analysis: Dovbyk is replacing Santiago Castro, who's going in the other direction, as the top center-forward. He'll look to bounce back from an injury-riddled campaign, as he played just 18 times (six starts) last year, failing to produce for the most part, since he posted three goals, two assists, 15 shots (seven on target) and 20 chances created. He had hit the net 12 times in 32 Serie A appearances in 2024/2025. He'll split up duties with Thijs Dallinga at this new club.

Inserted late against Lazio

Dovbyk (thigh) had two shots (one on target) and two passes in two minutes in Sunday's 2-0 win over Lazio.

Analysis: Dovbyk was moderately active in a very short stint off the bench in his first appearance since early January. He'll have a limited role in the final game as well. He had struggled to produce before sustaining a severe thigh problem this campaign, scoring three goals, providing two assists and notching 15 shots (seven on target) and 22 chances created in 17 outings (six starts).

Shakes off major thigh issue

Dovbyk (ankle) has logged multiple full training sessions this week and could be called up for Sunday's derby with Roma, TeleRadioStereo reported.

Analysis: Dovbyk has been absent since early January because of a severe thigh injury that required surgery. He'll back up Donyell Malen alongside Robinio Vaz if indeed available. He has assisted once and added three shots (one on target), six chances created and one cross (zero accurate) in his last five showings (two starts).
