Could return Saturday
Kuhn (muscular) will miss Tuesday's DFB-Pokal clash against Karlsruher SC but could return for Saturday's Bundesliga encounter against Paderborn, according to coach Alexander Blessin. "Things are also looking good for Kuhn. Tuesday would still be too early, but he could be an option on Saturday."
Analysis: Kuhn continues progressing in his recovery from a muscle tear sustained during his only Bundesliga appearance of the season in early September. The winger has resumed team training but is not yet considered ready for competitive action, ruling him out of Tuesday's cup fixture. Saturday's clash against Paderborn now represents a potential return date, although his involvement will depend on his fitness over the coming days. Having missed several weeks, Kuhn could initially be eased back into action through a substitute role.
Still unavailable against Stuttgart
Kuhn (muscular) remains sidelined for Friday's Bundesliga clash against Stuttgart as he continues recovering from a muscle injury, according to coach Alexander Blessin. "It's still too early for Kuhn."
Analysis: Kuhn remains unavailable after suffering a muscle tear during his only Bundesliga appearance of the season in early September. The winger had recently resumed full team training, raising hopes of a return against Stuttgart, but he has yet to regain sufficient fitness for competitive action. Friday's encounter will therefore come too soon, with no definitive timeline established for his comeback. Having featured just once in the Bundesliga this season, Kuhn could require a gradual return to action once fully cleared.
