Boulaye Dia
REN
Brace off bench
Dia scored two goals to go with two shots (two on goal) in Sunday's 4-1 win against AJ Auxerre.
Analysis: Since transferring to Rennes, Dia has regularly appeared for Rennes, albeit as a reserve. By logging a brace on Sunday, he hopes to have a more meaningful role for the team moving forward. Dia's issue is that he is the backup striker to Esteban Lepaul, who has four goals in six league games this season, an impressive scoring rate.
Heads to Rennes
Dia is moving to Rennes on loan with a conditional obligation to buy from Lazio.
Analysis: Dia is coming off an underwhelming season, and Lazio recently signed his replacement, Andrea Pinamonti. He'll look for better luck in France after registering 12 shots (seven on target) and 15 chances created in 27 appearances (14 starts) in 2025/2026, scoring once and assisting twice.
Sets up goal on Monday
Dia assisted once to go with zero corners and four chances created in Monday's 1-0 victory versus Bologna. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 34th minute.
Analysis: Dia set up the only goal of the game for Davide Frattesi in the 59th minute. Dia created four chances in the game despite only registering 24 touches. He has now recorded three assists in his last 10 Serie A appearances.
Dishes out helper versus Cremonese
Dia assisted once to go with one chance created and one clearance in nine minutes in Monday's 2-1 win over Cremonese.
Analysis: Dia didn't play a lot, but combined with Tijjani Noslin ahead of the game-winning goal, recording his second assist in the campaign. He's also competing with Daniel Maldini and Mattia Zaccagni in multiple roles. He has started twice in the last five fixtures, tallying three key passes, one interception and two clearances.
