Aouchiche has signed a long term contract with Schalke through June 2030, with no exit clause included, according to the club. Director of professional football Youri Mulder said "Adil was an immediate strengthening for our team."
Analysis: Aouchiche joined Schalke from Sunderland last January following a loan spell at Aberdeen, and contributed eight goal involvements, including three goals and five assists, across 14 matches in the second half of the promotion winning season. The 24 year old Algerian international, who came through PSG's academy, made his senior debut for Algeria in March 2026, and his new deal reflects the club's confidence in him as a key attacking piece heading into life in the Bundesliga.
