Joins Valencia on loan
Elliott has joined Valencia on loan from Liverpool for the remainder of the 2026-27 season, the club announced.
Analysis: Elliott is on the move again because he still can't get minutes at Anfield, where he's made 149 appearances and scored 15 goals since arriving from Fulham in 2019 but has slipped down the pecking order in recent seasons. His 2025-26 loan at Aston Villa did nothing to help, where he managed just four league outings and failed to register a goal or assist across 211 minutes in all competitions. Valencia gives him a fresh league and the chance to play as a regular starter in the attacking midfield or off the right, which is what he needs at 23.
Left out against Forest
Elliott will not be included in the squad for Saturday's Premier League clash against Nottingham Forest due to a technical decision, according to coach Andoni Iraola. "With Harvey and some of the players, I can only choose 20. Harvey is trying and improving every week, but I still prefer other options because of the balance on the bench."
Analysis: Elliott remains outside manager Andoni Iraola's preferred matchday options despite continuing to make progress in training. His exclusion is not injury-related, with the coach instead favoring other players to provide greater balance among the substitutes. Elliott will therefore have to continue pushing for opportunities in training before working his way back into the squad, leaving his early-season role limited for the time being.
