Concedes twice versus Lazio
Stankovic had no saves and allowed two goals in Saturday's 2-0 defeat versus Lazio.
Analysis: Stankovic was beaten by a PK by Mattia Zaccagni and a point-blank finish by Tijjani Noslin, and Lazio didn't have any other attempts on goal. It's his first appearance without a rejection, and he has yet to keep a clean sheet. He has given up 13 goals and made 17 saves thus far. Up next, Venezia will face Atalanta away on October 12.
Blown away by Fiorentina
Stankovic registered six saves and two clearances and surrendered four goals in Friday's 4-2 defeat against Fiorentina.
Analysis: Stankovic was under intense fire and took a step in the wrong direction on one of Franco Mastantuono's goals, while he couldn't do much more on the others, as his defense continues to be very suspect. He has given up 11 goals and made 17 saves in four games. Up next, Venezia will host Lazio next Saturday.
Allows three goals versus Frosinon
Stankovic had five saves and two clearances and conceded three goals in Sunday's 3-2 loss against Frosinone.
Analysis: Stankovic didn't have glaring errors but had another rough day in goal because of his leaky defense, conceding multiple goals for the third fixture in a row. He has been beaten seven times already, while he has made 11 saves. Up next, Venezia will host Fiorentina on Friday.
Concedes twice in Milan clash
Stankovic registered four saves and gave up two goals in Friday's 2-0 defeat against AC Milan.
Analysis: Stankovic had a few strong saves in the first half, in particular thwarting Goncalo Ramos' attempts, but he conceded twice for the second game in a row, first on a pretty finish and then on an unlucky ricochet on Redouane Halhal after he denied an attempt. He has made six saves thus far. Up next, Venezia will face Frosinone away next Sunday.
Gives up two goals versus Lecce
Stankovic made two saves and allowed two goals in Sunday's 2-0 loss versus Lecce.
Analysis: Stankovic didn't have major blunders but looked a bit uncertain at times, although he couldn't do a lot more on the two goals. He'll have to avoid big mistakes to remain the top option, as Venezia onboarded veteran Lorenzo Montipo. Up next, Venezia will visit Milan on Friday.
