Makes second straight start for Getafe
Gudelj had one shot (zero on goal) and one chance created in Sunday's 1-1 draw against Deportivo.
Analysis: Gudelj was handed a second consecutive start since his move from Sevilla and has been asked to operate as a centre back instead of anchoring the midfield. Across his two outings the Serbian has put up five clearances, one interception and one tackle, along with one shot and one chance created at the other end. Two starts in a row suggest he could be settling into a regular berth in the back line.
Joins Getafe on one-year deal
Gudelj has joined Getafe on a free transfer, signing a one-year contract with the club.
Analysis: Gudelj arrives at Getafe following seven seasons with Sevilla, where he made 261 appearances across all competitions and won two Europa League titles. The 34-year-old remained heavily involved last season, making 34 La Liga appearances (26 starts), scoring two goals and logging 2,347 minutes. His experience, physical presence and versatility to operate in central midfield or defense should give manager Jose Bordalas an experienced option in multiple areas, with Gudelj expected to compete for significant minutes throughout the campaign.
