Provides assist in draw
De Haas assisted once to go with one chance created in Sunday's 2-2 draw versus Racing Santander.
Analysis: De Haas cut out the opposition's throw-in with a header, sending the ball into Dani Raba's path for the opening goal in the second minute of this game. The defender has now made three consecutive starts as the left center-back in Valencia's back three. The assist showed he can make smart contributions toward advanced areas, though attacking production is likely to remain a rare bonus in his game.
Back available Friday
De Haas (ankle) returned to partial team training Thursday and is an option again for Friday's clash against Sevilla, according to coach Carlos Corberan. "He will travel with us."
Analysis: De Haas had been expected to be sidelined for around one month with a sprained lateral ligament complex in his right ankle, an injury suffered against Celta that cut short his early run of starting minutes after arriving over the summer. Arnau Martinez figures to continue covering in central defense until he returns to full speed.
