Spotted training with knee strap
Veltman was spotted training with a knee strap this week, the club posted.
Analysis: Veltman has not started in the last two Premier League matches after opening four of the previous five games across all competitions, likely due to knee issues after the defender was seen training with a knee strap this week. The right-back has not been ruled out through injury, but the issue could limit his playing time at the back for the Seagulls.
Starting for FA Cup
Veltman (undisclosed) started and played 77 minutes in Sunday's 2-1 win over Manchester United.
Analysis: Veltman was cleared for the FA Cup match over the weekend and wasn't just on the team sheet, instead starting as they pulled out the win. The defender has served as the starter at right-back in stints this season, falling out of favor while also going on streaks of starts. After seeing the start Sunday, he will look to continue in that spot, although it seems to be Mats Weiffer's spot to lose when he is fit.
