Starts in return to club play
Sanchez (international duty) is in the starting XI for Saturday's meeting with Guadalajara.
Analysis: Sanchez will bounce back into his usual role on the right side of a four-man defense, looking to add to his crossing and tackling production as he attempts to make his first goal contribution of the season. He'll replace Edgar Zaldivar in the initial squad for a matchup that may require more defensive focus compared to other fixtures.
Ineligible for league game
Sanchez is working with Mexico's squad over the international break and is unable to participate in his club's upcoming visit to Tijuana.
Analysis: Sanchez recently bounced back from a minor injury, claiming his place as the undisputed option on the right defensive flank for the Rojinegros. However, they'll have to look for an alternative in his absence, with Sergio Hernandez perhaps offering attacking strength under the current wing-back system, and both Gaddi Aguirre and Juan Jose Purata also available if a back four is preferred. This situation is likely to leave Sanchez out of only one Liga MX game, coming after his most productive all-around performance where he logged five crosses, six tackles (four won) and four clearances against Pumas.
