Easy win
Agirrezabala registered no saves and allowed one goal in Saturday's 2-1 win against Espanyol.
Analysis: Agirrezabala didn't have to make a save during Saturday's win. He did concede one goal, but that was the only shot he faced as the team in front of him controlled the match outside of that goal. Agirrezabala will hope to build from this excellent team performance when he takes on Real Madrid next time out.
Concedes twice in loss
Agirrezabala had five saves and allowed two goals in Sunday's 2-0 defeat to Osasuna.
Analysis: Agirrezabala was stellar overall and kept Racing Santander in the match with five saves but ultimately conceded the only goals of the game. He will next meet an Espanyol team which has scored 11 goals through nine LaLiga games.
Concedes twice against Valencia
Agirrezabala recorded no saves and allowed two goals in Sunday's 2-2 draw against Valencia.
Analysis: Agirrezabala had a disappointing outing, failing to make a save in an unusual match where he faced a low volume of shots. He has struggled to keep goals out throughout the season, and this performance lowered his average to 3.8 saves per game. His current form makes him an unreliable option unless his team can correct its defensive weakness soon. The next chance to end the poor run will come next Sunday against Osasuna, who have the fifth-lowest scoring total in the league.
Allows five against Celta
Agirrezabala recorded four saves and allowed five goals in Saturday's 5-0 loss to Celta Vigo.
Analysis: Agirrezabala was in for a stinker Saturday, as even though he made four saves, he would still allow five goals in the rough loss. This continues a rough opening few games of the season, now allowing 21 goals in seven appearances while having yet to bag a clean sheet. He will use the international break to reset, with their next match against Valencia on Oct. 11.
Concedes seven goals
Agirrezabala registered three saves and allowed seven goals in Wednesday's 7-2 loss versus Barcelona.
Analysis: Agirrezabala was repeatedly exposed by Barcelona's attacking pressure, with Raphinha scoring twice from the penalty spot and from open play, while Joao Cancelo, Gabriel Jesus and Lamine Yamal also found the net. The goalkeeper has now made 26 saves while conceding 16 goals across six LaLiga appearances this season, and he remains without a clean sheet. He'll face Celta Vigo in Racing Santander's next match as he looks to improve that record.
Seven saves in win
Agirrezabala allowed a goal while making seven saves during Saturday's 2-1 win over Alaves.
Analysis: Agirrezabala allowed the opening goal in the 18th minute, but held Alaves from there as Santander came from behind for all three points. The keeper ha allowed six goals while combining for 18 saves over his last three starts. Santander head to Barcelona for mid week action Wednesday.
Concedes three in loss
Agirrezabala made six saves and allowed three goals in Saturday's 3-2 loss versus Rayo Vallecano.
Analysis: Agirrezabala conceded three goals Saturday, his most through four matches this season. He also made a season-high six saves as Rayo's attack put him under pressure throughout the match. Next up is a difficult matchup versus Deportivo Alaves, a side which has scored 10 goals through four matches this season.
Concedes two
Agirrezabala recorded five saves and allowed two goals in Friday's 3-2 victory versus Elche.
Analysis: Agirrezabala recorded five saves and a clearance but conceded two goals back-to-back in the 78th and 79th minute. He has conceded a total of five goals in three games this campaign, registering 10 saves. Next, he takes on Rayo Vallecano.
Struggles in loss
Agirrezabala had no saves and allowed one goal in Sunday's 1-0 defeat against Getafe.
Analysis: It's hard to fault Agirrezabala much here, though he didn't make any saves in the loss. He might not be making many in the next match, but that is largely due to his opponent. Elche have only scored once in two matches this season and they've already got a minus-5 goal differential so they could be headed for a poor campaign.
Concedes two in debut
Agirrezabala made five saves and allowed two goals in Sunday's 2-2 draw against Villarreal.
Analysis: Agirrezabala made his debut for the club following his move from Athletic Bilbao, and while the outing did not go well against a strong attacking Villarreal side as he conceded two goals, he still had a solid overall showing, making five saves and three high claims. His next game comes Sunday against Getafe.
Completes move to Racing Santander
Agirrezabala has completed a transfer to Racing Santander from Athletic Club, according to his new club.
Analysis: Agirrezabala has found a new home but will not be going far, as he remains in La Liga play while signing a deal with Racing Santander until 2031. This comes in their promotion season, gaining a goalie who has experience in the league and could be a key piece to staying up. He earned his time last season while on loan with Valencia, starting in 18 games while notching four clean sheets. That said, he is likely to start in net immediately, a major addition for the team this season.
Returns to Athletic Club
Agirrezabala will return to parent club Athletic Club following the conclusion of his loan spell at Valencia, according to Superdeporte.
Analysis: Agirrezabala endured a difficult year at Mestalla, with several injuries limiting his appearances significantly in the second half of the season. The Spanish goalkeeper had been brought in on loan to add competition between the posts and now heads back to Athletic Club for pre-season, targeting a stronger 2026/27 campaign.
Back available Sunday
Agirrezabala has made a faster than expected recovery from his knee surgery and is back in the squad for Sunday's clash against Athletic Club after training fully this week, according to coach Carlos Corberan. "Julen returns to the squad."
Analysis: Agirrezabala had been ruled out for the remainder of the season after undergoing surgery to address a meniscus issue, making his return to the squad a remarkable and unexpected turnaround. The goalkeeper had made 18 La Liga appearances this season, recording 54 saves and four clean sheets before the injury struck, and his availability gives coach Corberan a welcome option between the posts for the final fixtures of Valencia's campaign.
