Bayern Munich have completed the signing of defender Nathaniel Brown from Eintracht Frankfurt
The Athletic reported in June that Brown was committed to joining Bayern, having also attracted interest from Arsenal.
He plays primarily as a left-back, but can also play further forward, as well as, if need be, on the right side of defence.
His technical ability on the ball has been a great asset for Julian Nagelsmann’s national side, for whom he is currently first choice, and will likely prove a similar virtue for Bayern, whose possession-based style and positional fluidity he should easily adapt to.
The next question is what this means for Alphonso Davies, the Canadian international full-back. Davies is a first-choice when fit and has had a successful Bayern career, but he has suffered a succession of injuries over recent seasons and has become difficult to depend upon.
