Third straight clean sheet
Tzolakis recorded one save and allowed zero goals in Saturday's 0-0 draw against Aston Villa.
Analysis: Tzolakis was not made to work anywhere near as hard as he had been in the first two rounds and had only a George Hemmings strike to deal with. It proved enough for a third clean sheet in a row, extending a superb start to both his Hull career and his time in the Premier League. Sterner examination awaits at Stamford Bridge, where Chelsea are next up in the league.
Keeps second straight clean sheet
Tzolakis made three saves and allowed zero goals in Saturday's 1-0 victory over Coventry City.
Analysis: Tzolakis stopped all three efforts he faced, twice denying Taiwo Awoniyi before comfortably saving Jay Dasilva's stoppage-time header. The goalkeeper has opened the campaign with two clean sheets and eight saves through two Premier League appearances, playing a major role in Hull's perfect start. He'll attempt to maintain that form in a tougher matchup against Aston Villa.
Shuts out Manchester United
Tzolakis kept a clean sheet while making a save during Saturday's 2-0 win over Manchester United.
Analysis: Tzolakis shocked United in his Premier League debut as Hull upset the apple cart with Saturday's 2-0 victory. The keeper is a veteran of European Competition from his time with Olympiacos and will hope that experience can help Hull stay in the Premier League after this season. Hull head to fellow promoted side Coventry City in their next match.
Signs with Hull City
Tzolakis signed a five year contract with Hull City through the summer of 2031 after departing Olympiacos, the club announced.
Analysis: Tzolakis kept 64 clean sheets across 131 appearances for Olympiacos after making his senior debut in March 2020, winning four Greek Super League titles along with a Greek Cup, a Greek Super Cup and the 2023-24 UEFA Conference League. He was named Greek Super League Player and Goalkeeper of the Season in 2024-25 and played every minute of last season's league campaign, recording 23 shutouts across 43 appearances in all competitions. The 23-year-old has also earned nine caps for Greece. Tzolakis is expected to compete with Jack Butland for the starting goalkeeper role, with preseason friendlies likely to help determine who emerges as the club's number one.
