Won't return in 2026
Bos suffered a bruised ACL, a grade-two tear in his MCL and a torn meniscus in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and he's not expected to return until January 2027 at the earliest, according to Australian outlet 10News.
Analysis: Bos suffered the injury in the Round of 32 match against Egypt on July 3 and was given a recovery timeline of six months, so in a best-case scenario, he could be back in action in January. Aside from missing half of the 2026/27 season at club level with Feyenoord, his involvement with Australia in the upcoming 2027 Asian Cup is now at odds given his lack of fitness.
Remains sidelined
Bos (leg) wasn't in the squad in Saturday's 3-1 win over NEC Nijmegen in the Eredivisie.
Analysis: Bos has yet to play for Feyenoord this season after sustaining a leg injury with Australia in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The defender isn't likely to be available when Feyenoord open their UCL campaign against Barcelona on Wednesday, Sept. 9.
