Knee injury, set for scans
Bos is set for scans following an injury to his knee in Friday's loss to Egypt, according to an Australian football spokesperson, per Joey Lynch of ESPN. "Jordan suffered a knee injury. He will have scans in the next few days. Socceroos medical team is liaising with his club regarding treatment/next steps."
Analysis: Bos had to exit at halftime of Friday's match with what looked to be a rough injury, not able to put any weight on his leg as he walked down the tunnel. It has now been confirmed that it is a knee injury as he heads in for scans, hoping to avoid any ligament damage. With the league season in the Netherlands starting in around two months, anything worse than a sprain would likely knock him out for the start of the season.
Exits with injury
Bos exited Friday's match against Egypt in the Round of 16 in the 2026 FIFA World Cup due to an apparent left leg injury, according to Joey Lynch of ESPN.
Analysis: Bos suffered a reckless challenge in the dying moments of the first half and was helped off the field by trainers on either side of him while being unable to put any weight on his left leg. Kai Trewin took his place in the lineup.
