Analysis: Elanga was largely subdued in Saturday's 2-2 draw with Bournemouth, providing one inaccurate cross across 77 minutes as the Swedish winger struggled to impose himself against a disciplined Cherries back line that doubled up on him throughout. He played a key role in one first-half situation where Adam Smith was forced to clear his dangerous delivery across the face of goal, before being replaced by Jacob Murphy in the 78th minute as manager Jaissle made late changes. Elanga has started all three of Newcastle's opening Premier League fixtures and contributed two goals and four chances created in that span.

Analysis: Elanga was at the end of a brilliant passing sequence that included Nico Gonzalez and Amar Dedic, and the Swedish forward capped the play with a beautiful finish past Antonin Kinsky.
