Out several weeks with calf injury
Jesus (calf) has been ruled out for Sunday's Premier League clash against Crystal Palace and is expected to miss several weeks after suffering a muscle injury during the international break, according to coach Oliver Glasner. "The other is Igor. He has a muscle injury in his calf and he will be out for a few weeks. That's not what we wanted."
Analysis: Jesus suffered a setback while remaining with Nottingham Forest during the international break, leaving him facing a spell on the sidelines. Coach Glasner's comments suggest the Brazilian forward will miss multiple matches, although an exact timetable for his return has yet to be established. Jesus scored in his most recent Premier League appearance against Aston Villa but has struggled to secure consistent starts following Liam Delap's arrival. His absence should further solidify Delap's role as the primary option up front, while Jesus will need to rebuild his fitness before competing for regular minutes upon his return.
Scores game-winner off bench
Jesus scored one goal to go with one shot (one on goal) and one chance created in Saturday's 2-1 victory against Aston Villa.
Analysis: Jesus took advantage of a low cross from the right flank and a loose ball inside the box to slot an effort out of Zion Suzuki's reach from close range. The Brazilian seems to have lost the starting spot following the signing of Liam Delap, however, so he's not expected to have a ton of fantasy appeal until he can return to the XI on a steady basis.
