He would earn an assist in his time on the field as well, coming on five chances created. He would also add six interceptions, 14 tackles and 30 clearances in the defense.

Analysis: Hany was busy at the back, but he didn't post the same numbers as in previous matches, including his 14-clearance performance against Iran on June 27. Hany also broke an all-time World Cup record after becoming the first player in World Cup history to score multiple own goals in the same tournament. Despite the bad luck, Hany should continue to start at right-back when Egypt take on Argentina on Tuesday in the Round of 16.
