Suffers calf injury in first start
Alaba has been diagnosed with a left calf injury and is week-to-week, Udinese announced.
Analysis: Alaba subbed off at halftime after recording two clearances, one interception and one cross. He'll sit out multiple matches due to the nature of his injury and a few short turnarounds. Udinese will turn back to Enzo Ebosse, Matteo Palma and Christian Kabasele.
Signs with Udinese
Alaba has agreed to a contract until June 2027 with Udinese.
Analysis: Alaba heads to Italy after five seasons with Real Madrid and did not play much in the most recent one, also due to a few injuries. He contributed to two clean sheets in 14 appearances (six starts), tallying six tackles, 23 clearances and six blocks in 2025/2026. He'll most likely start over Christian Kabasele or Enzo Ebosse once he's fit after spending the past few months without a team.
