Returns to matchday squad
Chukwuemeka (undisclosed) has been included in Borussia Dortmund's squad for Wednesday's Champions League clash against Bodo/Glimt after recovering from a minor injury, the club posted.
Analysis: Chukwuemeka missed Friday's Bundesliga clash against Werder Bremen after failing a late fitness test due to an undisclosed issue sustained during the international break. However, his inclusion in Wednesday's matchday squad suggests he has made sufficient progress to return to competitive action. The midfielder should now be available as an option for Dortmund, although a role off the bench appears more likely given his recent absence. His return provides additional depth in midfield as the club continues its Champions League campaign.
Out Friday
Chukwuemeka (undisclosed) is out for Friday's match against Werder Bremen.
Analysis: Chukwuemeka was a late call for Friday and has failed his testing, as the midfielder is not fit enough to earn a spot on the bench. This comes after he returned from the break with an injury, luckily it is only minor. With that said, he will look to return in the next week or two, with his next chance to see the field against Glimt on Wednesday in UCL action.
