Allows three goals
Schwolow made six saves and allowed three goals in Saturday's 3-2 defeat to Werder Bremen. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 94th minute.
Analysis: Even though Schwolow made six saves, he did concede three times. Two goals were penalties, which can't really be attributed to the goalkeeper but the last goal proved to be what decided the match. Schwolow has an interesting matchup looming against Elversberg, a team with a minus-3 goal differential that has scored 12 times in seven matches.
Keeps clean sheet in victory
Schwolow made three saves and secured a clean sheet in Saturday's 1-0 win over Schalke.
Analysis: Schwolow made three saves while keeping a clean sheet during Saturday's 1-0 win at Schalke, helping Mainz secure their third consecutive away victory in the Bundesliga. He was relatively untroubled during the first half but made a crucial reaction save to deny Satoshi Tanaka from close range in the 75th minute before stopping another header late in the match. Schwolow's interventions helped Mainz protect Phillip Tietz's first-half opener and secure all three points despite Schalke increasing the pressure during the closing stages. Schwolow will look to build on that performance in Saturday's clash against Bremen.
