Suffers thigh problem
El Azzouzi has been diagnosed with a biceps femoris strain in his left thigh and will miss about four weeks, Bologna announced.
Analysis: El Azzoui got the start in the opener, filling the void left by the departure of Remo Freuler, but he'll be unavailable for a few matches. Nikola Moro, Mikel Amondarain and Tommaso Pobega are next in line in the depth chart at the position.

Analysis: El Azzouzi returned to action after sitting out the final months of his Auxerre stay because of a knee problem. He'll be evaluated by the new Bologna coach, Domenico Tedesco, during the summer after returning from a loan spell. He scored once and posted nine chances created, 19 tackles and 16 interceptions in 11 displays in 2025/2026.
