Ulisses Garcia
SAS
Limited to brief cameos
Garcia has made two substitute appearances across Marseille's first five Ligue 1 matches without earning a start under new coach Bruno Genesio.
Analysis: Garcia has played seven league minutes in total in the first five games of the season, contributing three crosses, one shot and one clearance. He has no goals or assists and remains the back up of Emerson at left-back for the Olympians.
Heading back to Olympique Marseille
Garcia wasn't bought out by Sassuolo following his six-month loan spell.
Analysis: Garcia was almost a day-one starter after joining in January and fared well for the most part, tallying one goal, two assists, 34 crosses (11 accurate) and 17 tackles and contributing to three clean sheets in 13 appearances (10 starts), but Sassuolo elected not to acquire him before the end of June. They might try to bring him back later in the summer under different conditions.
Doesn't play against Como
Garcia (undisclosed) wasn't deployed in Friday's 2-1 victory over Como.
Analysis: Garcia was back available after an ailment, but the coach made different choices at the position. He'll likely get the nod over Josh Doig and Woyo Coulibaly once he's completely healthy. He has scored once and notched 13 crosses (three accurate), 11 tackles (six won) and nine clearances in his last five displays, with no clean sheets.
