Completes Leeds move
Zetterer completed a permanent move from Frankfurt to Leeds United on a three-year deal Saturday.
Analysis: Zetterer joins Leeds United to presumably fill the No. 2 role behind James Trafford between the posts. After Lucas Perri was loaned to Torino, Zetterer will add competition between the posts. He becomes Leeds' fifth signing of the 2026/27 season after making 27 appearances for Frankfurt in the 2025/26 campaign between the Bundesliga and UCL play, racking up 86 saves, allowing 44 goals and keeping six clean sheets.
Five saves for draw
Zetterer had five saves and allowed two goals in Saturday's 2-2 draw against VfB Stuttgart.
Analysis: Zetterer stopped five of seven shots during Saturday's draw. The goalkeeper ended the season as the starter after Kaua Santos went down with an injury, but when both were fit they split time throughout. Zetterer should compete for the starting role again in 2026/27.
