Scores equalizer versus Augsburg
Haberer scored one goal to go with one shot (one on goal) and one chance created in Saturday's 1-1 draw against Augsburg. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 31st minute.
Analysis: Haberer pulled Union level by finishing from the six-yard box in the 74th minute, while his defensive work away from that moment was fairly modest throughout the match. The yellow card was his third in as many matches, so the bookings are starting to pile up alongside the production. He opened the season as a midfield option but ultimately settled in as the right-sided defender since Josip Juranovic (Achilles/illness) went down, which gives him a clear role for now.
Available for season finale
Haberer (undisclosed) is available for Saturday's season finale against Augsburg after not being listed in the injury report by coach Marie-Louise Eta, according to the club.
Analysis: Haberer had missed last Sunday's win against Mainz after picking up an injury during the final training session before the fixture, but his omission from the injury report ahead of the weekend is a clean bill of health heading into the final fixture of Union Berlin's season. The midfielder should push to feature against Augsburg as the club looks to end the campaign on a positive note.
Suffers injury in training
Haberer (undisclosed) was absent from Sunday's 3-1 victory against Mainz after picking up an injury during the final training session before the fixture, according to coach Marie-Louise Eta. "Janik injured himself in the last training session and was therefore absent."
Analysis: Haberer couldn't make the squad for Sunday's clash against Mainz after suffering an injury in the last training session ahead of the game. No details have been provided on the nature of the injury, leaving his availability for the final fixture of the season against Augsburg uncertain. The club will assess his condition over the coming days before making a final call on whether he can feature in Union Berlin's season finale.
