Picks up thigh injury
Martinez is nursing a left flexor strain, Inter announced.
Analysis: Martinez got hurt in training and will likely miss at least a pair of fixtures, considering the dense schedule. Marcus Thuram, Francesco Pio Esposito and Ange-Yoan Bonny will shoulder the attack while he's on the mend.
Strikes twice in Club Brugge match
Martinez scored two goals to go with 12 shots (five on target) and two chances created and drew four fouls in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to Club Brugge.
Analysis: Martinez capitalized on his massive volume with a brace, hitting the net from comfortable positions on both occasions. He also left a few chances on the table. He registered a new season high in attempts and has posted at least three in his last six displays, amassing 41 (12 on target), scoring six times and providing one assist over that span. Furthermore, he has created exactly two chances in six appearances in a row.
